The San Juan Islands are at their most brilliant in the sunny days of summer. Orcas Island offers numerous opportunities for outdoor adventures. Our activities page contains information about kayaking, whale watching, biplane rides, hiking, and more. The pods of Orcas whales have returned to our waters with some new babies. Whale watching trips allow you to see these magnificent creatures.

If your visit includes a Saturday, don't miss the weekly Farmers' Market in Eastsound. July 2nd brings The Historical Days Parade, Food and Local Arts & Crafts Fair and a Salmon Bar-b-Que. The island enthusiastically celebrates Independence Day with a fireworks display on the 4th. On the second Saturday in August, the Library Fair will be in Eastsound. Also in August is the Orcas fly-in and antique airplane show.

So many of our guests have admired our comforters that we have had additional ones made. Made of wool from our own sheep and fabricated for us on the mainland, they have proved to be a wonderful addition to our Inn. They are covered in a heavy muslin and are dry cleanable.
